I am SO excited to share the details of this fantastic ebook with you! Building a Framework launches TODAY and is written by the lovely Abby who blogs at Just a Girl and her Blog. It contains everything you need (plus much more!) to start and grow your own blog. This ebook is for you if you’ve ever thought about starting a blog but don’t know where to start, if you are a new blogger, or even if you are an established blogger looking to improve your reach and monetise your blog. It really has something for everyone with an interest in blogging!
Abby began blogging in January 2013 and went from starting from scratch to having a successfully earning blog in just a year. She decided to distill all of her knowledge, experience and passion about everything she had researched and implemented in that first year into an ebook so that readers would be off to a flying start when they set up their own blog. Building a Framework takes you step-by-step through how to set up a self-hosted WordPress blog, including great recommendations for plugins and everything you need to set up your technical framework. There are detailed chapters on social media strategies, content, photography, blogging relationships and much more including how to make money from your blog. It really is such a valuable resource that you’ll be diving back into it again and again!
The first edition of Building a Framework launched a year ago today on Abby’s 30th birthday (talk about putting yourself under pressure!) and was a huge success. I bought the first edition and devoured it in one session. I couldn’t put it down! I had followed Abby’s blog for a while and thought to myself that I’d quite like to have my own blog “one day” but never did anything about it. From that first reading my passion was sparked and I immediately read through it again, soaking in as much information as I could. I was on holiday at the time so it became my beach reading 🙂
At that time I was in a bit of a rut. I’d had to give up work a while before due to ill health as I was diagnosed with ME/CFS (another story!) and I was desperately missing both the challenge of work and the relationships it brings. All of a sudden here was something I felt excited about, where I could be creative, work at my own pace, building relationships with other like-minded people. I went through Building a Framework step by step and set up my blog from scratch which I really enjoyed, having never even seen the back end of a website in my life. I learned so much and felt like I was ‘fast-tracked’ through the whole process. This step took me a loooong time! Part of my illness is fatigue which means I can only manage to spend little amounts of time on the laptop before concentration fades and the muscles in my arms and hands hurt. I figured I was more tortoise than hare, but hey I got there in the end!
One of the best things about Building a Framework, other than the wealth of information and expertise, is Abby herself. When she writes it feels as though you are sitting down for a chat with a dear friend, and she manages to explain even the most technically difficult things clearly and simply. Her passion for blogging just shines out of the pages and she inspires me. I feel like she walked me through each step and gave me the confidence that I could achieve something new for myself.
Now today, a year to the day after launching the first edition of Building a Framework, Abby is launching this super-duper new edition… Building a Framework: The Ultimate Blogging Handbook. It also happens to be her birthday! I’m not sure when this girl plans to spend her birthday eating cake or going to a spa 🙂 but ebook launching day it is!
From today, if you purchase the brand sparkling new edition of Building a Framework, you’ll find it has been updated with even more information from Abby’s second year of blogging, along with a comprehensive overview and course outline. There are three packages available, depending upon how much in depth you want to go with your blogging. Some of the extras you can opt-in to are amazing:
- 15 step-by-step video tutorials on subjects like Google Analytics, Photo editing, social media, accounting and Google Adsense.
- Access to the extremely useful members-only Building a Framework Facebook group which is great for sharing tips, meeting other bloggers in the same stage of their blogging journey as you, along with information and support.
- A series of 15 video interviews with expert bloggers about their various areas of knowledge and expertise. Each interview is 30-45 minutes long. Not only will we benefit from Abby and her husband Donnie’s blogging expertise, but also that of 15 other successful bloggers!!!
Anyway, I’ve bought my upgraded copy of Building a Framework and plan on reading it ALL again, making sure I have implemented every tip to make my blog successful. Then I’ll be putting my feet up with a cuppa and watching the blogger interviews… So excited! I can’t wait to share my progress with you. Now my technical framework is in place I hope to move from being a completely new blogger, into growing my blog and seeing what develops. Don’t take my word for it though, pop on over to Abby’s launch site for Building a Framework and check out all the details for yourself, and please let me know if you choose to buy this ebook – I’m sure you’ll love it as much as I do!
